About the team
Chris Pearson, our founder, has worked in the events industry since the age of 16 when everything was black & white! Seriously, PowerPoint wasn’t a thing, everything was made using 35mm slides in clunky old projectors.
His creativeness & passion for delivering events thrives now just as much as in 1982. “I love this job; for me, its playing with gadgets and electronics whilst inventing new and better ways to excite & deliver for our clients.
I love new technologies and the opportunities they create. In our industry, equipment and ways of working are forever changing. Therefore, its my mission to keep The AV Guys at the forefront of it all”

Mark Dewhurst “Marco” has been with the business for over 20 years. A likeable, cheeky, Northern chap; Marco is the oracle for knowing where every piece of our equipment is in our 4000 sq ft warehouse. You’ll often see Marco wearing shorts in December.

Danny Lee joined The AV Guys in 2017 after working as a time served joiner, musician and videographer / editor. Danny enjoys organising events and specifying the correct equipment needed for the venue and our clients. His skill set is impressive and will flawlessly operate any aspect of audio, lighting & video systems as well as liaising with venues & clients from the start of an initial enquiry to finishing major events.

Louis Pearson “Lou” joined the business as an apprentice in ‘stage technology’ in 2017. He gets excels in rigging & de-rigging jobs, taking charge of the local crew and enjoys completing any job in a punctual manor. Louis also enjoys working behind the ‘tech desk’ as well as operating the cameras.

Jamie Forrester joined us in 2019 and has quickly become a great asset to the team. He’s the tallest in the company so gets most of the high jobs! Like all of The AV Guys, Jay is a great people person, getting on well will all the crew, as well as clients often requesting him specifically to be on events.
